Psalmist Dayo Agboola was born in the late 60s at Ilesa in Osun State of Nigeria. He hails from Osi-Ekiti in Ido-Osi Local Government Area of Ekiti State. He attended St Andrew’s College Demonstration School 1, Oyo, for his primary education. He went to Polytechnic High School, Ibadan for his secondary school level. He later went to The Polytechnic, Ibadan and Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-ife respectively, where he studied music to the professional level.

CAREER

He started his music career in the 80s, where he played the trumpet, bugle, flute, recorder and drums for the Young Pioneers Orchestra Band. A band that was established by Late Bola Ige, the then governor of Oyo State, Nigeria. The orchestra band was under the leadership of Baba Toye Agboola and Mr. Martins Oni. (Both of blessed memories).

Psalmist Dayo Agboola as a young coming entertainer acted with likes of Akin Lewis (Why worry), Late Olumide Bakare (Chief  Koko), Prophet Moses Olaiya Adejumo (Baba Sala), Kunmi Adeosun (Kumee) and Muyiwa (Baba Kuete Onilee Goolu).

He also joined some dance drama groups like Kutamiti, Kapoos and The Meridian. They go about stage dancing and making shows on the television. He played music with some musical bands like Bamboo, Klinks and Cupid Godeyaka. He also participated in many concerts, musical shows and entertainment competitions like Tudmont in Ile-ife, Music-fiesta in Kaduna, Pop Jamborre in Benin and Gong Show at NTA in Ibadan.

He has worked as Musician and Technical Director in many capacities. He was the Organist and Technical Director at Word Communication Ministries (WOCOM) under the umbrella of Apostle and Rev. (Mrs.) Sunday and Omowumi Popoola. He was also the Audiovisual Producer and Director at BornGreat Ministries Incorporated, owned by Apostle Gbenga Igbafen.

Psalmist Dayo Agboola also specializes in producing, directing and promoting musicians and artists. He is skillful in the production of Jingle and documentaries. He has worked as an agent for Broadcasting Corporation Of Oyo State (BCOS), Federal Radio Corporations, (FRCN) Ibadan. Nigeria Television Authority (NTA) Ibadan. He finally relocated to the United States Of America in the year 2010.
